Our Story

Hi, I’m Lee—and together with my wife, Sarah, we created Naptured because parenthood nearly broke us.

We know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and alone. And we believe no parent should ever feel that way. If our story helps even one person feel seen, supported, or loved—it will all have been worth it.

We could just show you these and pretend we have it all together…

It's what we do on social media right?

But that wouldn't help anyone, so here's what it actually looked like most days

The Dream That Almost Broke Us

We always dreamed of becoming parents. But after seven years together, we faced five more years of infertility, heartbreak, and a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy. It was the darkest season of our lives.

But with the help of our community, we made it through—and emerged with a new purpose: to use our story to help others. After three rounds of IVF, we were blessed with our daughter Mika, and twin boys, Kannon and Cato.

Everyone talks about labor. No one talks about what happens after.

You go through the most physically and emotionally intense experience of your life—and then, without pause, you’re handed a tiny human and expected to keep them alive, starting immediately, on 30-minute naps and cold coffee.

There’s no recovery. No pause. And for many, no village. Just you. Alone. Maybe you can relate.

The Shock No One Warns You About

We Weren’t Meant to Do This Alone

Once upon a time, we lived in tribes, villages, and multigenerational homes. There was always someone nearby to hold the baby while you rested. Today, we parent in isolation—often far from family, hesitant to ask for help, and expected to do it all.

Parenting is beautiful. But it’s also too much to carry alone.

Before kids, we were individuals. After kids, we became everyone and everything for someone else at all hours.

The pressure of being the only one keeping a tiny human alive is relentless. And even when you want a break—like a date night or anniversary—you know you’ll pay for it the next day with even less sleep but the same responsibilities.

We realized: if the exhaustion of early parenthood is one of the most universal experiences of humanity, why isn’t anyone doing anything about it?

The Burden Is Real

Serving in the military meant long stretches away from home—sometimes without a phone, sometimes without knowing when we’d be back together.

We moved often, always far from family, and never wanted to burden new friends. That meant the weight of parenting—especially with three kids under three—often fell squarely on Sarah, who held everything together solo.

The Toll of Separation

We weren’t looking for a perfect nanny. We just wanted someone kind and trustworthy to hold the baby while we slept in for once, took a nap—or just… breathed.

Naptured is built exclusively for tired parents (which, let’s be honest, is all of us).

It’s a community-powered platform that helps you find support—whether it’s a friend, a neighbor, or a sitter—so you can rest, recover, and reconnect with yourself.

Because rest isn’t a luxury. It’s how we make it through.

That’s Why We Built Naptured

We donate 20% of all profits to organizations that support struggling families. So every time you use Naptured, you’re not just helping yourself—you’re helping someone else, too.

We’re in this together. Now let’s get some rest.

Your kids will still be adorable when you wake up.

Maybe even more so. 😉
